Within the whole britpop education thread i promised i`d upload a load of obscure & rare britpop stuff for individuals to try out & here is the very first installment.
i believe a number of individuals don`t realise simply how wide ranging britpop really was. it wasn`t a genre it was actually additional an era where british musicians enjoyed additional exposure than they actually ever had before because we are part of a country sick to death of grunge.

additional nwonw, a bunch of furry assed punks from welwyn garden town sing about germaine greer inspired feminism. this lot were within the music press as much clearly as the libertines were 10 years later, till oasis came along.
and you wonder why i thank god for oasis such a lot ?

7. elastica - spastica
can`t utilize a britpop album while not elastica, this could be a live favourite that never made the album, was released upon the b side of connection.

8. ultrasound - kurt russell
another live favourite. this point from suede`s labelmates ultrasound. this never made their ( one and just ) album everything picture, ultrasound within my opinion were possibly the most underated band within the whole britpop movement. sadly their album didn`t come back out till long after britpop had died & didn`t very do much

9. the jesus and mary chain - i hate rock n roll
their final one before they actually spilt up, will you spell b. i. t. t. e. r

10. manic street preachers - motown junk
their debut one, why couldn`t they actually keep this good

11. gorkys zygotic mynci - young girls & happy endings
wonderful satire of sappy love songs and therefore the music business by a bunch of welsh folkies. this very little gem sadly was merely ever released just like a one & never got on an album.

12. significant stereo - chinese burn
glam rock influenced band from newcastle featuring gem archer now of oasis. i don`t assume they actually released rather more than this.

13. hefner - hymn for our cigarettes
one of one's greatest songs ever written by one in all possibly the most underrated scottish bands ever.

14. super furry animals - god, show me magic
slightly rawer version of one's song that appeared onto their debut album, this version is taken from their moog droog e. p. that came out on ankst records a year or 2 just before the album came out.

15. primal scream - screamadelica
10 minute trippy psychadelic wig-out not direct from album of one's same name, other then direct from rare dixie narco e. p.
